Grey in grey. When you look outside all you can see is a very triste looking world. The sun is hidden behind the clouds. Daylight nearly never catches my skin. It is freezing cold outside and I rather be at home having a chilled girls night in (here) instead of walking trough leaves and rain. So I need something that cheers me up! I show you how to add a pop of colour to your outfit to get over the autumn blues. You just have to smile when you see yourself in the mirror with a bright colour.
Cheer up your life with a pop of colour.
Even though I am a huge lover of “All Black”-Looks like here. Somehow I am open to try a lot more colour lately. For most people this change happens when spring and summer is around for me it is the opposite – colour in winter and grey/ black in summer, at least this is what I remember.
I chose to wear my new and cool power kick yellow leather jacket from Live and Love. This bright yellow is perfect to fight the autumn blues. I paired sock heels (here) to give this look a chic touch as well as the black bucket bag with red lining. Grounded is this look with simple flared jeans which have lace up details around the bottom. This outfit has a total of five different colours (if you include the red lining of the bucket bag). Once someone said to me never ever wear more than three different colours in one look. It is too much and over the top. Usually I stick to that. On some day I only have two colours in total. So this here was rebellious for me, so much colour, all for me.
Actually five is my actual limit. Believing that wearing too much colour, pattern etc. can easily be pigeonholed into a childish not grown look. Something I barely prefer.
With that being said: hello rain and cold bye tristesse.
Which is your favourite colour to cheer you up when the autumn blues are around?
I was wearing:
Leather Jacket – Live and Love
Blouse – Brandy Melville
Jeans – Mango
Bucket Bag – Reserved
Sock Heels – Zara
